Beyond the realm of typographic design, the team was entrusted with the task of converting RGB product photos into two FESTO PMS colors. This conversion allowed for printing with only two colors, ensuring consistent and accurate representation across the imagery. However, preserving the quality of the images during the conversion process posed a significant challenge.
To overcome this hurdle, the team conducted an in-depth study of RGB, CMYK, and PMS color systems. By developing customized RGB and CMYK color profiles, they successfully retained the vibrancy and brightness of each color, thus upholding the integrity of the product photos. Furthermore, through the creation of an automated system, the team achieved enhanced efficiency and accuracy, significantly reducing the time required for each image conversion from RGB to customized PMS. The conversion process, which once took 20 to 35 minutes per photo, was streamlined to a mere 10 to 15 seconds.
